My Year Out – Adventure into the Unknown

On 2 June 2023 Miriam Haslauer, a student of psychology at the University of Vienna, came to our school to present her gap year in England to the students of Class 4HLW and Class 2ALW.

Miriam did voluntary social work in Cambridge from September 2021 to July 2022. Her stay and work were organized by the Christian youth organization “Youth for Christ”. Miriam had a lot of new, valuable experiences in the fields of culture, language and faith. Her accounts of how she connected with troubled students and could win their trust were very touching.
